  11. I have been trying for the last couple of hours myself, hopefully just a glitch that humbug will soon discover?

    ReplyDelete
  12. is it my imagination or does this mean that grizzom.blogspot.com has taken over completely from cybersage now? lol

  13. WRH is still up. That's a good sign.

  14. HB did piss me off, I was one of the top uploaders at the time. I felt it was a stab in the back. So I stayed away from the site for a long time. (By the way in the past I have left Concen for long periods at a time too for various reasons).

Came back later to Cybersage and saw that I could not get in. I kept getting the 403 Forbidden. I thought the site folded and that was it.

Then I saw Mami's Blog and the Cybersage link. Figured it was still going. I tried going to the site , got the 403 Forbidden again.

I mentioned it in the comments here cause I could not even get to the site. Then something was mentioned that my IP range was probably blocked.

I tried another IP address, that didn't work either. Don't know what happened.

Anyway it is fixed now, well until I commented about Stadtmiller on Cybersage and then that site goes down...

    WTF?

    ReplyDelete
  15. or the sweet beginning?

it'll come back up, unless humbug banned his own ip?

  16. How does someone register to comment on this blog? Through Cybersage?

  27. Jesus goddamned christ, ZCF's site is under attack I suspect, I hope cybersage is again, just a glitch. Cybersage is a absolute free speech site and has been a huge part in the 'wake-up' process. Long live cybersage.net!

  31. cs is up (and the forums)

    woohoo!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Miami, heard from a friend who contacted ZCF and ZCF said his site was probably hacked and his webhost received death threats.

    ReplyDelete
  33. cs is in a weird state, shoutbox times out in chrome, last messages from humbug were:

humbug: I guess they restarted it, not sure why it acted up other than that hint error message about max_user_connections being exceeded
    21st Sep, 5:14am
humbug: I did submit a ticket to dreamhost to restart the mysql server and created a new username shmoooz to replace shmooz, because the older user shmooz seemed to lose permissions to access the database and cron

    ReplyDelete
  34. timeouts gone in the shoutbox now but no one's posting but me, I see zap and a few others logged in.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Want a shout? Why not just create one on chatango? Or maybe there is a suitable place there already. Then if someone's IP gets banned they can ask there since there's no irc or email contact (?)

    ReplyDelete
  36. yeah ZCF goes to an error page then redirects to http://zioncrimefactory.prothink.org
where it fills in partially, sort of a skeletal version of zcf. :(

    ReplyDelete
  37. yeah, first no history then

    Not Found

The requested URL /shoutbox.php was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    Got a suitable chatango page?

    ReplyDelete
  38. oops forgot, there is of course conspiracy tracker which has a shout box. maybe time for some heavy duty bench testing.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Looks like the SQL database is gone?

It is not in error, as I do not get an error message besides the 404.

But I'm not the expert, I hope HB is.

  40. There's a chat here: http://grizzom.blogspot.ca/

I think this explains why Cybersage has been down twice: http://www.dreamhoststatus.com/

  41. -------This is the ticket I submitted yesterday --------

    Hi
for the site cybersage.net and its database mysql.cybersage.net with database name 'cyber' I'm getting the error...

mysql_connect: User shmooz already has more than 'max_user_connections' active connections.

on freenode irc #mysql and #phpMyAdmin people suggested that the mysql server should be restarted.

======HERE IS THE RESPONSE TO THE TICKET =========

    Hello,

While we were researching your issue, we found that the related database
is connected to a BitTorrent program. Running BitTorrent applications on
shared hosting is expressly against our Acceptable Use Policy:

    http://dreamhost.com/acceptable-use-policy/

The program is also causing performance issues on the MySQL server, so
our administrators have had to disable the database user's ability to run
    SELECT queries.

I have disabled web access to cybersage.net. I can re-enable it if you
remove the BitTorrent application from your account.

BitTorrent programs are only allowed on dedicated servers and even then
only if they're used to distribute files that you, as the account owner,
either own the copyright to or have been granted distribution rights by
    the copyright holder.

If you have any questions, respond to this message. I will happy to help.

    Thanks!

  43. by humbug ============

So I told him we will remove the torrent related parts from the site for now to have just a forum and chat shoutbox , and later look into moving to Dedicated server options and pricing ($99 a month or more).

FUCK ! I should have never submitted that ticket and woke them up! Oh well it was good while it lasted I guess.

We'll see what happens, but I'll need at least a day to rearrange the code to remove all torrent related code. Argh

Here is the reply to my ticket asking them to restart mysql (I guess I should have never woke them up to it)

  45. oops double post, cause it didn't look like ti went through first time, oh well you guys get the picture for now

not sure what we'll do eventually, but for now I'm going to look into stripping all torrent related code and see if we can recover the rest of the site without torrents

  46. @humbug - worth asking Olav if he's now ready to go live and take delivery of 25000+ torrents?!

    Tripod -optimistically :~(

    ReplyDelete
  47. I had already left him a message on conspiracytracker.org about making that place a mirror backup of cybersage but he never goes there himself or doesn't check messages I guess.

How can we find him on concen or somewhere and ask him?

    humbug

    ReplyDelete
  48. @ Humbug, for some reason, I'm having to fish out of the spam box every comment you make here. Don't know why.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I will donate to help keep your next site alive when you find a dedicated server HB, thanks for all your hard work over the past couple of years!

  50. "do you rodents miss your little cybercage?

you should have been nice to me.

    -eppinoia"

"you rodents" - Indeed a bad choice of offensive wording, when used by a rat.

Is this some wannabe witty troll, or did EpicNoia really write that?

If so, then he surely must have got some severe psychological problems enabling him to contemplate that snitching on and closing down parties that he first crashes and consequently gets thrown out of - is a way to make ppl go nice with him.

It's probably only a question of time before Eppinoia steps on the wrong foot, and then I wouldn't want to be in his shoes.

I'd personally like to invite the guy to a few rounds in our local Muay Thai-gym here.

  51. Why not look into these offers from Romania, guys...

    The cheapest dedicated server, ever:

    Euro 22.95/month @ http://ultraseedbox.com/

    State-of-the-art proff. dedicated server:

    From Euro 79/month @ http://www.limehost.ro//servere/dedicated-models.html

Limehost are serving many ISP's, and these guys doesn't give a damn about DMCA and all other threats, as long as it's not child porn or hacking/cracking/fishing activity.

    /Loke

  52. It looks as if Humbug and Cybered upgraded with dreamhost. Thanks for the info though Loke because I might need a dedicated server in the near future.
