Monsanto Protection Act to be voted on by Congress

The "Monsanto Protection Act" is a proposal buried in the Agricultural Appropriations Bill now before Congress.

It would allow Monsanto and other biotech companies to test, plant and sell new laboratory-created GMO crops without federal approval. The provision also would strip the federal courts of authority to stop the planting of GMO crops.
