  1. At some point, the first caller mentions: " Smoking fags ". It made me wonder what people in the UK would think he meant by saying that. LOL

Yes, but what is the origin of the American slang term "fag" as short for "faggot" used to refer to homosexual men and also sometimes just to ridicule non-homo friends when they act wimpy or in an annoying manner? There is no consensus and the origins are still a mystery, but here are some interesting lines of etymological investigation, including the suggestion that the origin might be the Yiddish "faygele":

The way I see it, the word "faggot" is a natural VISUAL progression from "smoking fags," since the homosexual "smokes" the pole of the other homo when they munch on sausage and not salmon-flavored-rug like lesbians and dykes or some of the more passionate and perverted hetero males. lol

  4. An addendum to that scholarly theory would be this:

"smoking the pole" goes both ways, one more literal, like smoking a cigarette or "fag," and the other due to the extra flaming "heat" generated by sticking it in a tighter place where it doesn't belong. Hence, even the "top" homo or "fag" has a smoking "burning" pole similar to a cigarette.

    lol
