Canadian Stamps

I need to post a letter and was looking up the price of a stamp in Canada. It turns out that since January, they cost 1.05$. Because I don't use them often I thought that I should buy "permanent stamps" which are still good to use even if stamps cost 2.00$ in 6 years for example.

So I go to the Canada post site to see the selection and prices. Among the selection I found these:

Three stamps of Black History

I think I'll go with those instead. LOL

  1. If zap ever gets locked up for his truth-telling, expect him to be Moslem when he gets out. However if the Canadian government lock him up in a monastery he might come out a Christian.

If our governments are determined to lock us up for our truth-telling, locking us up in a monastery would be the right thing to do instead of prison. Just something our governments should consider.

"Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha are two of the most important festivals celebrated by Muslims worldwide. Eid-al-Fitr marks the end of the Ramadan fast. Eid al-Adha commemorates Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice his son Ishmael as an act of obedience to God and marks the end of the Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca. Both celebrations can include special ritual prayers, lavish meals, visits with friends and family, gift-giving, and acts of charity.

Commemorate your Eid celebrations with this limited-release booklet of ten elegant permanent stamps. Designed in deep blue, vivid turquoise, warm gold and bright yellow, each stamp honours the Muslim culture and Islamic faith. Each stamp wishes you and your loved ones “Eid Mubarak” in bold Arabic script."

That's what the fast is all about.

Are Ishmael and Isaac one of the same?
