his September 11, 2025, appearance on Fox News, Netanyahu cited an
excerpt from a letter Kirk had reportedly sent to him on May 2, 2025, in
which Kirk expressed his "greatest joys as a Christian is advocating
for Israel and forming alliances to defend Judeo-Christian
civilization".
Netanyahu described Kirk as a "defender of our common Judeo-Christian civilization" and recalled inviting him to Israel two weeks prior.
Following Netanyahu's interview, Candace Owen has accused him of misrepresenting the letter. She claimed the letter contained additional content that contradicted the impression Netanyahu gave on air, potentially related to Kirk's reported disagreements with donors over Israel and his alleged opposition to a war with Iran.
Owens stated that Netanyahu's quote was a "lie by severe omission" and that he "held the letter in his hand and propagandized it". She demanded that Netanyahu publish the entire letter.
