Anyone who familiarizes themselves with the work of
public relations head pioneer Edward Bernays
may recognize this ideology of how to control the masses. His ideas
were very similar to what we are hearing today. It was Bernays who
specifically said that the masses could be controlled by controlling the
“circumstances” around them and “staging” situations to ultimately
guide mass behavior.
