Tim Osman chats with Mark Sargent of the Flat Earth Conjecture Series

I would like to thank Mark Sargent for answering the call of Timothy Ossman. I think it took about 20-30 minutes for him to call back. I had left him a message saying it would be about 5 minutes but it turned into a 30 minute conversation. He seems to agree in doing actual debates with so called "ball earthers", so I will get the astrophysicist lined back up, or someone else of that stature.

  2. Tell me where the proof is either way? "Dude" fuck it's annoying listening to someone say dude over50 times in such a short segment . Keep the flat earth coming.

  5. At 7:00 there is no substance. The round earth guy jaws on and on. RE says that he has disproven the Chicago skyline, but I haven't seen that. I have seen videos of the Chicago skyline from across Lake Michigan. At that point the burden is on the RE guy. Seeing the skyline from 40 miles away proves no RE.

  6. Visible light is electromagnetic energy. Electromagnetic energy follows a geodesic path, not a "straight" path. That light travels in a straight line is only apparent and not actual due to just an infinitesimal section of the geodesic arc being observed.

The speed of light and the curvature of its path vary with the medium through which it travels. The denser the medium the slower the speed and the greater the curvature. The atmosphere is producing a "lensing" effect allowing one to see well beyond the horizon.

That this FE BS is happening is a testament to the stunning success of their dumbing-down agenda.

Yes, yes, yes, a thousand times yes.

Huh? What does "horizon" mean then?

I remember back when I was a kid, the teacher told me that things disappeared over the horizon, and that this was proof that the earth was a globe. Now it turns out that we can see on the other side of the earth because the light bends. Things used to disappear, but now the light bends.

And why does the lensing effect always place the object along a flat plane, and not in the air above the plane? This is a very convenient, unverifiable, magical effect.

  9. Your statements serve to corroborate my assessment of the situation as expressed in my last paragraph.

  10. Is that why you can't answer any of my questions?

  12. I had intended not to dignify this absurd topic further by addressing it again but I feel compelled to share what happened here in flat-as- a-pancake peninsular Florida last night.

The area where I live was under a tornado watch as a severe weather system move through so I stayed up all night watching the highly detailed radar graphical data on the big screen. Every so often they would show the 150 mile Klystron Doppler radar beam as I swept around the state.

Interestingly the weather dude would point out how the detail would drop out as the beam approached its limit due to THE CURVTURE OF THE EARTH.

    Once again,

    Q.E.D.
