The only "hybridity" possible is between "live actors" and previously acted-in film aired as live. The latter is FAR MORE common than the former and usually, due to very firm control of Mass Media, there is no need to do any "Mission Impossible" last second manoueverings on the site itself. All of it can easily be shot "documentary style" ahead of time and just aired as a "live event" with very tight security on journalists who want to see for themselves the massacre site and "bodies" and whatnot, thus preventing anyone from finding out anything not shown directly on TV.
