Barrett's guest said a B-52 hit the Empire State Building in the 40s. The B-52 is a giant eight-engine jet bomber that didn't enter service until the late 50s.
ReplyDeleteIn July 1945 a B-25 twin recip engine medium bomber named "Old John Feather Merchant" did hit the ESB.
...wonder what else he got wrong.
