William Joyce – Twilight Over England
William Joyce, derisively nicknamed Lord Haw-Haw by the British press during wartime, was executed on January 3rd, 1946 of treason after a brief trial. Prior to and during the Second World War, Joyce sought to reform the British system away from benefiting the merchant class and more towards benefiting the citizenry through restrictions on trade and limits to banking power. His resettlement to Germany during wartime and his conduct as a pro-German broadcaster earned him his guilty verdict, but in his mind the true villains were those that started the war to begin with.
