A program that investigates the relationships among capitalism, militarism and politics. Maintaining a radical perspective in the aftermath of the September 11th attacks, “Guns & Butter: The Economics of Politics” reports on who wins and who loses when the economic resources of civil society are diverted toward global corporatization, war, and the furtherance of a national security state.

What a great host Bonnie is. This is the first time I have EVER heard a host raise the issue of Ahmad Shaw Massoud's assassination and connect that to 9/11 as evidence of pre-planning.
ReplyDeleteI have a theory on how the assassination was done because to me the Al Qaeda suicide mole cameraman for Al Jazeera does not fly. It stinks just like all the other bullshit that came out of the government and media in the days, months, and years following 9/11.
Here it is fwiw: the camera crew was unknowingly used as bait for a drone strike with a speciality guided munition which leaves minimal fragmentation. Tom Clancey wrote of such a drone strike and bomb in his first novel, Rainbow Six. I believe it is feasable and Massoud was a chess piece they wanted off the board due to his independent attitude and incorruptible character.
