James Henry Fetzer (born December 6, 1940) is a philosopher of science and conspiracy theorist. Since the late 1970s, Fetzer has worked on assessing and clarifying the forms and foundations of scientific explanation, probability in science, philosophy of mind, and philosophy of cognitive science, especially artificial intelligence and computer science.

I was going to take a poke at the caller known as 'Paul' for being
such a chimper and having such a short fuse but Bill almost
deserved the abuse from him for having such a lack of information.
I do like Bill's calls into Fetzer because they help break up the
monologic musings of Paul that seem to drone on forever and
often have little or nothing to do with what was being discussed on the show.
Paul has chimped on at least 4 guests and at least 3 callers (and counting)
the most memorable being the time that 'Rolf' felt the need to mention that
his girlfriend was black. Paul responded with a category 5 chimp storm
and called him 'a fucking race traitor' along with a barrage of other insults.
Fetzer had to cut 'Paul' off the air when some guy called in about astronomy
and disputed his goofy theory about the moon not being a real object.
The caller actually seemed quite educated and had a background in astronomy but
that wasn't good enough for ol' Paul - he totally lost it. Fetzer had to cut him off
the call due to his inability to cease and desist chimping.
He even chimped on Fetzer once when they got into a heated argument
about abortion.
However, despite his inability to control the chimp
reflex in his brain, Paul is quite knowledgeable.
