Dear Friends,
Today I received a further letter from our brave Ursula locked up in the Bielefeld jail.
She writes that she is in good spirits. She is amazed at all the many, many letter of support that she is receiving from right across the world. So many good people writing to her to express their outrage that a woman of 90 years is locked up for simply expressing her opinions. These many letters are embarrassing the prison authorities who have to read all these condemnations of their system. Also, Ursula writes, there are so many letters and cards coming in addressed to her that the Prison censorship department is at risk of being overwhelmed and collapsing. What a laugh.
Also Ursula is still receiving bunches and bunches of flowers which make her little room really agreeable.
So, friends, keep writing letters and cards of support to :
Frau Ursula Haverbeck, JVA Bielefeld-Brackwede, Umlostrasse 100, Bielefeld, D-33649, Germany.
Friends and supporters can order flowers for her from the local flower shop,
Blumenladen (Flower shop) "Polz", Bielefeld, D-33649, Germany,
by writing a simple request: flowers for Frau Ursula Haverbeck, JVA Bielefeld-Brackwede, Umlostrasse 100, Bielefeld, and include a 20 euro note/bill/billet in the envelope. That's quite safe and euro notes/ bills/billets can be obtained simply at a travel agent.
Include a note saying the flowers are for Ursula Haverbeck (they now know her well) and give a brief message, "Best wishes from xxx, town/city, country." Simple but effective,
Further good news: Our brave friend is not locked up in prison cell 23 hours a day, but resides in a communal, safe house with other detained female prisoners; they have day-time access to a common-room plus a kitchen, etc.; they may retire to their own rooms during the day; there is garden which they may walk around; the whole contained within the prison compound.
Next month on the 9th. November Ursula will celebrate her 91st. Birthday. For the event the Police have given permission for friends of Truth and Freedom to parade through the centre of Bielefeld in her name.
Finally Ursula informs me in her letter that it is now impossible for her to thank all the kind individuals who have written to her, so asks me to publicise on the internet her thanks and best wishes to all.
Richard.
