The world we live in is surrounded by kitsch, blandness and downright ugliness. All by design of course. The recently deceased Roger Scruton explains why it's essential for us to return to beauty, be it through art, music or nature or else we lose our souls and our civilisation.
THIS is the LINK that Paul-English had which is GREAT-Quality, and Without-funny-subtitles:

ReplyDeleteEnough to say, the show is presented by the BBC, which is hand-in-glove with the gov / church-zion. NOTHING is beautiful from that source.
The church music is moribund and depressing, the notes influence the Human Body /Spirit. And looking at the Medieval /Renaissance art, with a jaundiced eye, today, a discerning eye, away from the restrictive teachings, forced on us, while growing up, the paintings like the Mona Lisa, are as ugly as can be, yet presented as the top art. The Renaissance painters were hired by the Medici and wealthy, and used the faces of these family members, in the art. THese sponsors were ugly as hell.
And so it goes.
ReplyDeleteCont'd.
All of these OLD COOTS, on the tv show, are there to impress on us, "peasants" - there's the "seminal" "artwork" called
The Oak Tree. THe artists is trying to convince us that it is an oak tree. It reminds me of the "holocaust survivors" telling their tale to adolescents & children, and looking at the faces of the audience, and when the storytellers sees how believing the audience is, the more tales the "survivor" tells.
Then there's the "Urinal," that they try to convince us that the i is splendid. A urinal is a functional item, a good invention, the modeling/style is good, but it is NOT HIGH art to be put in a museum.
Hey, I can do paintings like those in the background and hang them on my walls. hehehehehehehe
