"We are down, system failure! We are sorry for the outage, but after a nearly flawless 800+ days uptime, we are currently experiencing a major server hardware failure. Update 1: According to the on site technician the machine had failed RAM, however my diagnostic via IPMI kernel log tails suggested it was related to disc storage. Either way the machine is recovered and functioning now, but may fail again if it is in fact drive related and not solved with an FSCK. All the databases need to be rebuilt and there are hundreds of those. I need food before I begin and this task will take hours. More to come when I have something more to report. Or the sites will just re-appear, one or the other.
There's a fine line between huge balls and pure stupidity. One his last attempt, he only made it up to 1800 feet and damn near killed himself that time as well. Surely someone must have told him that the rocket wasn't nearly big enough to power him much above 2,000 ft or so. Why not just send the rocket up with a camera? - lol Several other groups of amateurs have already done that, making it up to 100,000 ft, but we all know that the curvature was only due to a fish eyed lens. - (lol)
I actually feel bad for the guy - he seemed like an interesting character but ultimately, I think he had a death wish.
Actually, it was just a really bad thunderstorm that knocked out the power but the storm was probably created by some kind of secret high tech weather modification satellite to prevent vital information from reaching the public.

BTW, I wasn't trying to make a fool out of anyone. Mad Mike Hughes seems to have done that to himself, however and won a posthumous Darwin Award at the same time.
