Nine Inch Nails - The Hand That Feeds

  1. Great choice Chain! I've loved Reznor for years. One of my favorite soundtracks is 'Natural Born Killers,' which Oliver Stone asked Reznor to put together for the movie. 'A Warm Place,' which was created by Reznor is an absolutely fabulous instrumental!

  2. Instrumentals reach back to the days of classical music where the instruments were all. Some in music theory believe that with the phenomena of opera as a genre of classical music was begun the deterioration of classical music as a pure art form due to the fact that 'words' or 'language' degenerated what was considered a 'pure' art form. Opera was originally all a sung piece, then opera was added to music to form a play as the human voice was most definitely considered a 'musical instrument.'

Sometimes when people listen to sung music, they don't 'hear' the words, they just incorporate the voice with the rest of the music in one 'stream' or 'flow,' whereas at other times, the lyrics and their meaning are primarily focused on while the music takes a back seat, if you will.

Anyhow Chain, enough of my philosophizing! I'll see your 'Rokeby Garden' and raise you two more good instrumentals that you can listen to as you are tearing up your yard for next year. Oh! By the way, your going to have to mail me some of those veggies when they ripen; that's if the government doesn't outlaw gardening by then.
