It reminds me of the advertising humor back in the early 2000's that saw men become idiots that did things like played with the power windows or remote of the showroom car whilst the wife was talking/dealing with the salesman. That was hilarious too, remember? Men are becoming more and more like children. So that Bernays style mindfuck in advertising and popular culture has worked pretty well.
