ReplyDeleteWhat we need to do is lower tax rates on corporations who want to repatriate monies earned overseas and put Americans back to work. And if the dollar is still king, we need more foreign investment in our Treasury obligations, which will inject new money into our system, but with Bernanke keeping interest rates low, people go elsewhere. Bernanke has created smoke-and-mirrors from what I see -- paying off the Amex card with your Visa card...
ReplyDeleteThe Simple Consumption Tax on the end user would accomplish this in a big way no corporate tax, no tax on exported goods so would improve global competitiveness of our goods and would invite manufactures to bring production here, grand dad will still fuck us in the end.
