Theatrics always sells and Alex has proven to be a great showman.
He always does this "how angry I am" routine, but he has other routines.
For example, he almost every day makes references to how hard he works, how late he stays at the studio / office every night, how he is working so hard he is becomming sick and run down, how he never gets to see his family. I call his "Martyr routine." It sells very well too.
Whenever he has a guest that speaks intelligently and starts exposing some crucially important information and explaining it nicely, count on Alex to rudely interrupt the person.

AJ has gone completely overboard with his antics, that many people watch him simply for entertainment.
