It is rare that a song can be better than the original but there it is. Elvis was such a tragic character that this song fitted him more than Sinatra. So sad, the guy had all the money in the world but...

Presley was Jewish on his mother's side. This was documented in the book "Gladys and Me" and also in an episode of "Unsolved Mysteries", in which a Jewish nurse who attended to his corpse when it arrived in hospital spoke of the Star of David he was wearing.
