His irrational idea offered a foolproof remedy for Americans’ foolish fondness for freedom. Jab them to death or starve them to death! That's the level to which America has fallen. And the trap into which Americans — totally blind to their own learned helplessness — have walked.
So what choice is there for otherwise good natured but oppressed citizens but to revolt against this diabolical tyranny. Ah, but that has been the plan all along.
