Iraq has been witnessing one of the worst outbreaks of violence since 2008. More than 800 people have been killed in the holy month of Ramadan alone, 80 in one day. Even though Iraqis blame the central government for failing to prevent attacks, it has become increasingly evident that Saudi Arabia has been the main sponsor behind the violence.
In this edition of The Debate, we will be discussing the reason why, and what goals the Saudis have for inciting sectarianism in the region.
