The late Dr. Barry Fell, Professor Emeritus of Biology, Harvard University, pursued research to support his theory that Bronze Age Norsemen explored North America over three millennia before Columbus. Largely rejected by the archaeological establishment for his controversial findings, his interpretations of rock petroglyphs which, he argued, employed the pre-Roman ogam consaine alphabet, were dismissed as imaginative fancy. In the video lecture Dr. Fell explains how some of the copper necessary to make the tools of the Bronze Age in Europe could indeed have come from mines in North America.
