and Yes! there is a Tremendous amount of "Predictive-Programming" in THOSE: "Sci-Fi" "PROGRAMS" !!! :-o
Which INCLUDE: "Space-Vacuum-Star-Ships-Ball-Earth" Programming ...
And, even in the TWO Different "Ashen" (the "Extras" explained that these "Humorless" "efficient-Bureaucrat-fellows were Named THAT by the (((Script-writers))) because of GREY/"Ashen"-Color!)
The FIRST "Ashen" episode was THAT Screen-Grab-Photo/Image ... of a "Future" where "Friendly"-Aliens had been Encountered (Through the Star-Gate Travel-to-Planets System) ...
And these "Friendly" Technologically-Advanced "Ashen"-people had Offered an "ALLIANCE: where they would "GIVE" Technology ...... AND "LIFE extending" "vaccines" ... which Samantha discovers too-Late: have the "side-effect" of "STERILITY" !!! :-o
They Struggle to "Get-the-Gang-back-together" .... and Fight to the DEATH to SEND: a crumpled-NOTE: BACK-in-TIME saying: "Under NO circumstance travel to Location-####### !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" which was in O'Neill's handwriting + with their-BLOOD on it as well (as they DIED in the Process of Tossing-it ... by the "Air-port-SECURITY system!)
--> The SECOND "Ashen" Episode was quite some episodes LATER ... and was Contemporary TIMING ... and they GO to an AGR-ARIAN Planet where they meet a very Friendly-(but-naive)-FARMER ... who though Parentless was "RAISED" by the "Friendly"-Ashen .....
He has an "Iron-Weed" problem in one of his Fields ... which the Parent-Like Ashen USUALLY Take-Care-of-For-Him ... but, since the StarGate Team are sort-of: Smart/Hi-Tech ... he naively thinks that THEY will be just as Good at fixing-the-Problem ...
--> It Turns-OUT: that just Decades before: His ENTIRE-WORLD had been "Sterilized" by the "Friendly"-Ashen .... and then the EMPTY-City-REMAINS: COVERED-OVER with some Metres of SOIL !!! :-o
THAT Episode ends with a Bio-WEAPON being Readied to be SENT Through the StarGate to-EARTH (a LESS Subtle Delivery-System Version! -- In CONTRAST to the SLOWER-"Medicine" delivery version!) ...
... As this Planet was sort-of CLOSE to: the OTHER StarGate-Address that the "Future"-Episode had GOT: PERMANENTLY-BLOCKED: from the Dialling-Computer-Addresses !!!
And Daniel had Recovered a NEWSPAPER with HUGE-Headlines in the under-Ground-City-Remains ..... and had asked "out-of-curiosity": "What does 'XXX' mean?"
... as SOON as the pretending-to-be-Friendly Head-Man-Assistant says (Pretty-well everyone, but ni88ers, speaks ENGLISH in StarGate!): "Sterility" ...
They both REALIZE that the "Gig-is-Up" / "Cat-it-Out-of-the-Bag" ... and DETAIN the SG1-team ... as they Prepare to Instantly SEND the FAST-WEAPON-Version Through!
In the First Episode the DIPLOMAT-guy is Samantha's Future-HUSBAND (and they'd been TRYING to make-Babies!) And, My memories unclear ... but the-(((Writers))) may have had HIM in the Second Episode to HELP in the Negotiating with the Ashen (They were OFFERING a VERY VERY IMPORTANT Technology-Alliance!) and HE Stays BACK and DIES ... as the SG1-Team Repels-Down-Through the Already-OPEN StarGate ... with the DESPERATE-COMMAND: "CLOSE-the-StarGate-Iris* !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(*which PREVENTS the Bio-Weapon from Coming-Through!)
