Ilse Hirsch. Ilse joined the Bund Deutscher Mädel also known
as the BDM (League of German Girls) at the age of 16. In 1941 she
became a full time BDM Organiser. In 1944 she volunteered
for the 'Werewolves', she was then 23 years old .

• ‘Operation Carnival’ begins when a captured B-17 bomber drops the group into a Belgian forest on March 20, 1945.
• After carrying out their mission two of the group are injured by a landmine
