John McAfee is an American computer programmer and founder of McAfee. He was one of the first people to design anti-virus software and to develop a virus scanner

On November 12, 2012, Belize police started a search for McAfee as a "person of interest" in connection to the murder of American expatriate Gregory Viant Faull. Faull was found dead of a gunshot wound on November 10, 2012, at his home on the island of Ambergris Caye.[18][19] Faull was a neighbor of McAfee.[20] No one has been formally charged.[19] In an interview with Wired, McAfee maintains his innocence. He also says that he is afraid the police will kill him and refused routine questions with police, and has since been evading the Belizean authorities.[20] Belize's prime minister Dean Barrow called McAfee "extremely paranoid, even bonkers".[21]
