US blocks publication of Chilcot’s report on how Britain went to war with Iraq

Washington is playing the lead role in delaying the publication of the long-awaited report into how Britain went to  war with Iraq, The Independent has learnt.
Although the Cabinet Office has been under fire for stalling the progress of the four-year Iraq Inquiry by Sir John Chilcot, senior diplomatic sources in the US and Whitehall indicated that it is officials in the White House and the US Department of State who have refused to sanction any declassification of critical pre- and post-war communications between George W Bush and Tony Blair.

The child sex abuse crisis in ultra-Orthodox Judaism, like that in the Catholic Church, has produced its share of shocking headlines in recent years. In New York, and in the prominent Orthodox communities of Israel and London, allegations of child molestation and rape have been rampant.

The alleged abusers are schoolteachers, rabbis, fathers, uncles – figures of male authority. The victims, like those of Catholic priests, are mostly boys. Rabbi Rosenberg believes around half of young males in Brooklyn’s Hasidic community – the largest in the United States and one of the largest in the world – have been victims of sexual assault perpetrated by their elders.

Ben Hirsch, director of Survivors for Justice, a Brooklyn organization that advocates for Orthodox sex abuse victims, thinks the real number is higher.

“From anecdotal evidence, we’re looking at over 50 percent. It has almost become a rite of passage.”

FBI Seeks for 5 New Hackers

The five new members of the list include 2 Pakistani nationals – Farnhan Arshad and Noor Aziz Uddin – who are sought for their involvement in a $50 million international telco hacking scheme that ran between 2008 and 2012.

The third newcomer, Stephan Zapoper, of Quebec, is alleged of a variety of cybercrimes, including a website offering to “catch a cheating homosexual lover”, but instead installing malware that redirects you to some very sickening S&M gay porn sites

Then, Syrian national Andrey Nabilevich Taame has played a role in “Operation Ghost Click” a malware scheme between 2007 and 2011, which managed to infect over 4 million PCs in over 100 countries. Finally, Alexey Belan, Russian, is sought for alleged hacking of 3 American-based companies between 2012 and 2013.

Banking giant JPMorgan cancels Twitter Q&A after thousands of abusive tweets

Banking giant JPMorgan Chase was forced into a humiliating climbdown over its plans to hold a question-and-answer session on Twitter today after receiving a barrage of abusive tweets.

The bank had arranged an event where top executive Jimmy Lee would field questions from users in what it hoped would be a positive public relations stunt. 

But the company said it had scrapped the session after being flooded with insults, confirming the decision with the matter-of-fact tweet: ‘Tomorrow’s Q&A is canceled. Bad Idea. Back to the drawing board.’
