Gun Owners: Be Careful if You Pass Through Gun Grabbing Maryland

John Filippidis and his family drove from Florida to New Jersey last December for Christmas and a wedding. He knew he’d be traveling through states that aren’t gun-friendly, so he left his gun at home.  

“I know the laws and I know the rules,” Filippidis said. “There are, after all, ways gun owners can travel legally with firearms through hostile states.  But I just think it’s a better idea to leave it home.”

Filippidis was followed by a Maryland cop on I-95 after passing through the Fort McHenry tunnel. He said the cop flanked him, pulled ahead of him, and then got behind them. After about ten minutes of that, the officer pulled Filippidis over.

“Ten minutes he’s behind us,” John says. “We weren’t speeding. In fact, lots of other cars were whizzing past.”

The officer was from the Transportation Authority Police. He asked Filippidis for his license and registration. Around ten minutes later, he returned and asked John to exit his vehicle.

“You own a gun,” the officer says. “Where is it?”

Filippidis told the officer his gun was at home in his safe.
Apparently the officer didn’t believe Filippidis, because he began questioning his wife, Kally, next:

“Your husband owns a gun. Where is it?”

First Kally said, “I don’t know.” Retelling it later to the Tampa Tribune, she said, “And that’s all I should have said.” Instead, attempting to be helpful, she added, “Maybe in the glove [box]. Maybe in the console. I’m scared of it. I don’t want to have anything to do with it. I might shoot right through my foot.”
That’s when things escalated. The officer confronted Filippidis

Researchers find new risk factor for two mental illness disorders in Ashkenazi genes

Israeli and American researchers investigating a healthy Ashkenazi Jewish population have identified a new genetic risk factor for schizophrenia and bipolar disorder (manic-depression).

Ashkenazim represent a unique population for study because of their relatively short (less than 1,000-year) history and limited population. This history results in a more uniform genetic background in which to identify disease related variants.

How baking soda helps cancer patients

Sodium bicarbonate, better known as baking soda, has been used for decades as a first line of defense against every kind of ‘acidic’ health problem – including cancer. Naturally, the question remains – is there any proof that baking soda is a defense against cancer or any other chronic dis-ease?

History has much to teach us about natural healthcare. In a booklet titled, Arm & Hammer Baking Soda Medical Uses – published in 1924, Dr. Volney S. Cheney explains his clinical successes in using sodium bicarbonate to treat both the common cold and flu. His comments are actually quite remarkable.

“In 1918 and 1919 while fighting the ‘flu’ with the U. S. Public Health Service it was brought to my attention that rarely anyone who had been thoroughly alkalized with bicarbonate of soda contracted the disease, and those who did contract it, if alkalized early, would invariably have mild attacks.”

Sodium bicarbonate has been and still is used to make the urine less acidic. This helps the kidneys get rid of uric acid and is used medically to prevent gout and kidney stones. Even athletes use sodium bicarbonate to improve endurance. When ever my wife feels like she has an infection or cold/flu symptoms, I make up a concoction of 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1 teaspoon molasses (or pure maple syrup) and 1 teaspoon pure cane sugar mixed with 12 oz of distilled water. 

Trojan Horse: All the sugar attracts the sugar/acid loving diseased cells, Fungus, bacteria and the baking soda kills em on contact.

She swears by it, and it has cured her of many ailments including a possible cancer.

Just about a month ago, my daughter brought home the flu and everybody in the house had it bad, but my wife asked me to make up a batch of baking soda water and drank it the moment she felt it coming on and she was over it in a couple days and only had mild symptoms, while the rest of us suffered for weeks hacking our guts out.

She took it twice a day for like 3 days 1-2 hours before or after a meal.

No Justice for Kelly Thomas

In a quickly reached verdict, jurors found two former Fullerton police officers accused in the 2011 beating death of a 37-year-old homeless man not guilty on all charges on Monday.
