Superman 2025 came out Friday so Saturday I looked at the Google one Star reviews and read this one:

James Gunn fails to deliver that superhero. Despite the absence of an American role model, James Gunn ignores our deep-seated need. We’re exhausted. We’re tired of watching monstrous authority suffer no consequence. We’re denied our fair share, despite toiling for loved ones. The system is failing, and we’re powerless against it. THIS is what filmmaking is for: to inspire, cure and encourage. James Gunn spinelessly sells his soul, refusing to rise to the occasion. He, instead, delivers a meaningless, childish rendition, with a political leaning to ingratiate his masters.
Superman is a timeless icon, standing for “truth, justice, and the American way”. Hollywood, in its disgruntled, hateful activism, aims to destroy that proverb. The real Superman is an example to men: weathering adversity with quiet maturity. The real Superman brings us to tears, overcoming endless obstacles. He’s a paragon of self-control, concern, and altruism. In a digital world filled with arrogant personalities, greed and abuse, NOTHING could be more vital. NOTHING is more essential than to resurrect Superman. James Gunn bends the knee to corruption and envy by pushing “social justice” instead of healing a nation.
Superman is no normal protagonist, and Gunn’s iteration is insecure, defeated, and unworthy. The film’s dialogue is childish and its narrative is foolish, unfocused and senseless. The villains are over the top and the romance unjustified. Through his “Superman”, men are, once again, belittled. This film’s message of immigration defends illegals who’d rather ignore law & order than be identified. Its message of polygamy contradicts traditional family values. Its message of conquest tries to shame men for colonization and imperialism, blaming us for the sins of our forefathers.
James Gunn employs the Woke agenda to undermine THE archetypal, male role model. That’s what this movie is really about: media’s struggle to cancel our shared, national identity. The female activists want Superman stripped of his agency, and Gunn complies. This public dressing down is done out of spite. This cultural defacing of our childhood ideal is perpetrated with arrogance and vengeance. This movie is designed to lead young men astray, while angering those who understand its true purpose.
Today’s directors are losing their voices; forced to choose politics over film’s true calling (to create art for public good). Please don’t support this production. Instead, realize this destructive aim of mainstream media, and fight it! The culture war is robbing us of our myths and legends. We are a generation of forsaken men, and still we persevere. Superman lives on, if only in our hearts.
