Google’s recent acquisition of Boston Dynamics marks its eighth robotics purchase in the past six months, showing Google’s “moonshot” robotics vision is more than just a pet project.
Boston Dynamics is the most high-profile acquisition, however, instantly adding world-leading robotics capability, including robots that can walk all on their own, to Google’s arsenal – as well as significant links to the US military – conjuring images of Skynet and the artificial intelligence-led robot uprising straight out of the 1984 film The Terminator.

Sherwyn Sarabi scored an IQ of 160, just like Albert Einstein, Bill Gates, and Stephen Hawking. The British boy is already studying at the level of a 9-year-old and has read over 190 books.

 A four-year-old boy has stunned psychologists—after intelligence tests revealed him to have the same IQ as Einstein.

Sherwyn Sarabi has tested off the scale for intelligence—scoring an IQ of 160—the highest mark on the test.

It's the same score that experts believe scientist Einstein had, as well as being identical to that of Bill Gates and Stephen Hawking.

The security outfit Incapsula has found out that about 62% of all website traffic today is generated by bots. There was a 21% rise on 2012 figure where bots accounted for a bit over 50% of the traffic.

Of course, some of those automated software instruments are malicious, but the rapid growth in traffic was for good bots used by search engines to crawl sites to index their content. Other types of bots are employed by analytics companies to provide feedback about how a portal performs, or by others to carry out specific tasks like helping the online archive preserve material before it’s removed.

Missouri Bill Mandates Parents Report Gun Ownership to School Their Child Attends

A pre-filed bill in the Missouri Senate would require parents of a public school student to report to the school if they own a gun.

Senator Maria Chappelle-Nadal filed SB 549, which reads: 

    This act requires a parent or guardian to notify a school district, or the governing body of a private or charter school, that he or she owns a weapon within 30 days of enrolling the child in school or becoming the owner of a weapon. The written notification only needs to include the names of the parent and any child attending the school and the fact that the parent owns a weapon.

Sheriffs Refuse to Enforce Laws on Gun Control

GREELEY, Colo. — When Sheriff John Cooke of Weld County explains in speeches why he is not enforcing the state’s new gun laws, he holds up two 30-round magazines. One, he says, he had before July 1, when the law banning the possession, sale or transfer of the large-capacity magazines went into effect. The other, he “maybe” obtained afterward.

He shuffles the magazines, which look identical, and then challenges the audience to tell the difference. 

“How is a deputy or an officer supposed to know which is which?” he asks.
