CNN’s Dana Bash on Wednesday asked U.S. Rep. Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., if he stood by his assertion that Thomas “doesn’t like black people, he doesn’t like being black.”
“Well if you look at his decisions on the court, they have been adverse to the minority community, and the people I represent have a real issue with an African-American not being sensitive to those issues,” Thompson told Bash.Bash asked if his language was a racially charged.
“For some, it is, but to others, it’s the truth,” Thompson responded.
Such language wouldn’t be acceptable coming from a white person, Bash said. Thompson didn’t flinch.
“But I’m black,” he said.

wait, the "minority" Is he serious? Most Blacks don't like being Black. The reporter ceded the argument with the question: she said it would have been racist if a white congressman had said it.
She should have asked that as a question and made the congressman label it as racist for whites but not for blacks.
Otherwise this was a good interview and she made him attempt to dodge his own stupid statements. Basically he wants to paint everything against Obama as being "racist", but he can't give a single example of a racist statement.
