Israel barred Today UNRWA’s
Commissioner-General, Pierre Kraehenbuehl and the UN’s Coordinator of
Humanitarian Affairs in the occupied Palestinian Territories James
Rowley from entering the Gaza Strip. The director of UNRWA operations in
Gaza Robert Turner said in a press conference held at one of the
refugee schools that they have opened to accommodate the thousands of
displaced people from the north of Gaza: “The occupation authorities
prevented today UNRWA Commissioner Pierre Kraehenbuehl and Humanitarian
Coordinator James Rowley from entering Gaza for “security” reasons.
Turner said: “Today we open 8
schools to accommodate the thousands of displaced people from the
northern of Gaza Strip. He added that the number of those who are in
