Had me a nice big Palestinian flag sewn up and it is now attached to my trike. It is a decent size ("In your face" my daughter called it) and I plan to scoot through to the local demonstration later.
A few folks have asked me what it stands for. When I say "Palestine" they ask why that.... I say, "So you can ask me about Palestine...."
One at a time. Sigh. Personally I look at most protests as mere outlets, vents for public frustration, akin to lifting the lid to let the steam escape. But.... if there is any chance of any good coming from this it is worth a shot.
This being the Canadian West Coast, the apathy level is pretty high. Sadly, most I have met who care are older ~ younger folk are impervious to the situation or buy into the bs.
I doubt the Palestinians at this time care too much about much more than survival from nanosecond to nanosecond. They do not hear about too much but if the news the world populace backs them brings a dot of solace to just one person, it is all worth it.
