Last year a man offered me diamonds from a lot he had just purchased (and no he is not Jewish). He was out to impress and coming from love. Imagine his surprise when I declined!
The rich old semi precious are what call to me. The lapis, corals, malachite, crystals; diamonds were always too cold and sharp for my taste.
Other than my mother's modest wedding ring, I have never owned a diamond simply because the hype realllllllllllllllllllly turned me off. Early Jewdar I suppose.
