You, Americans, are all ignorant of the real situation.

The Venezuelans do NOT want Maduro. Communism has taken hold. Chavez has been pals with Castro for years, and as the saying is: El se acuesta con bebis, amanecere sucio." - the business of those you deal with, rubs off on you.

Chavez defied the U.S. and at first it was great to shake the fist at the Giant, the Venezuelans were taken in. That was the way the Cubans were taken in by Castro, too, because, at the end, Castro showed his true colors, or rather one, the red of Communism.

So,too, the Venezuelans, were taken in. Little by little, Chavez, began to reveal his politics, and tighten the screws. And when Maduro took over, he brought in Cuban soldiers to police the country. How could h do it? Remember that 96 guerillas defeated Batista's entire army in Cuban. Castro knows how to do it, and he doesn't care if out of the 96 guerillas, only 12 LIVED after the take over. Nor did he hesitate to put any of those pals of his, against the wall (firing squad), if he thought they betrayed him.

So now, Maduro, the great pal of Castro, has brought in the Cuban soldiers, to patrolling the streets of Venezuela, with jackboots. The scales have fallen off the eyes of the Venezuelans.

Maduro also just put up a Proclamation in which he changed the government, Cuban-style, i.e., the Military of course, and private enterprises are now Nationalized, as are the schools (no more private or catholic schools). And much else has been changed.

What a shock to the Venezuelans.
Maduro's Communism is now in the open.

Imagine a country with oilfields and with all that fertile land, that Venezuela is, now having a food scarcity, and having to ration everything. Plus there have no bathroom paper.

Where is the wealthy going?.

And Venezuelans DON"T want Maduro, and they DON"T want the U.S. either, but they're now between the U.S. aggression and Maduro.
