Gage raised an important point about neuro-linguistic programming, with people being conditioned to have certain images in their mind when phrases are used depending on the context.
For instance, he said that even though he calls himself an anti-supremacist, because he's White, a lot of people associate him with supremacy.
In the same way, David Duke prefers to use European American rather than White, because of the negative connotations put in the minds of people of killing Natives, slavery, racism and supremacism.
It's good to say European American in terms of changing the narrative for people to recognize the cultural aspects of this struggle, but in the case of Duke, he has so much past baggage with the KKK that it matters a lot less for him to avoid saying White than it does for the average alternative media commentator.
