Excuse me, excuse me! But that story about Arredondo setting himself on fire, sounds like a hoax t o me! Another hoax!

He doesn't seem to have suffered from any burns. A kerosene fire is certainly, uncontrolled, and the WHOOSH of the flames would have hit his face. He's got no scars there.

Plus, the "23%" of the burns on the body (does the Medical profession measure burns that way?) would have incapacitated him, for a loooong time.

Also in an interview, he was sitting at a table, telling his story, with a Marine officer, next to him. Was that to make sure he told the tale correctly?

And another thing, there's nowhere that informs us that dear Carlos was prosecuted for his destruction of the van, a military van, at that!

Wouldn't anybody, a regular person, have been arrested and taken to court for setting fire to someone else's car/

Heck! THe cops/fire officials don't look too kindly, at anyone, setting fire to his own car, in an open area.

The van fire tale, stinks to high heaven!

Great catch, Allat Goddess. One big consequence of that story of Arredondo is to make it difficult to question his credibility, just as that picture of Bauman allegedly having his two legs blown off at the Marathon made it difficult to question his credibility.

It likely is a fake story, though for those who think Arredondo was a fake by the time of the Marathon, it still makes him look less guilty, in making you think that he was approached after that horrible incident in order to carry out this operation as a way of finding some meaning in his life, but he was likely a complicit fraud from the beginning.
