I personally knew some Christians who disbelieved in literal miracles of Jesus as described in the Bible, yet on what basis does the belief in a resurrection and afterlife in heaven have any merit? It seems to me there's simply no reason to give that any particular credibility if you throw out most or all of the supernatural aspects of the Gospels.
