Thanks Robert. I am glad that Jim FINALLY, after voting for him twice, realizes that Obama is a neocon. Just up at NoDisinfo.com is "Hollywood Style Props at Paris, France Shooting Hoax." Check it out.
I first him him mention it on his latest Rense interview, and I would take exception with his characterization of Obama as a neocon, as it has a very specific meaning in relation to its progenitors being ex-Trotskyite Jews who used to be Democrats and retain their social positions but became hardline militarists for Israel.
While many of Obama's policies line up with theirs, he doesn't have the ideological basis of a neocon, which is an Israel uber alles policy. If he was truly a neocon, he would've been a signatory to the PNAC document that other Gentiles like Jeb Bush and Dick Cheney were.
If he was a neocon, he wouldn't have told Netanyahu that the 1967 borders must be a starting point for negotiations with the Palestinians for a peace plan, nor would he have complained to Sarkozy about having to work with Netanyahu so much.
And his circle of friends would've been other neocons instead of Bill Ayers and other weirdos.
Given that Fetzer is an academic, I think it's really important to get these academic distinctions very precise in his characterizations. I would say that Obama is a Zionist puppet, but not a neocon, for the primary reason I outlined.
