James Henry Fetzer, a former Marine Corps officer, is McKnight University Professor Emeritus on the Duluth Campus of the University of Minnesota. A Princeton graduate–magna cum laude in philosophy–he resigned his commission as a Captain to earn a Ph.D. in the history and philosophy of science. During a 35-year career as a professor of philosophy, he offered courses principally in logic, critical thinking and scientific reasoning. Today: The Conspiracy Guy #23, Senate hearings involving questioning James Comey, Director of the FBI, about his reopening and then closing of the investigation of Hillary’s email server combing with ongoing demonization of Russia for non-existent “hacking” of our election makes a farce of the Congress. As the new book, SHATTERED, has revealed, the “Russian hacking” meme was concocted by John Podesta and Robbie Mook less than 24 hours after Hillary’s concession speech. There was no “Russian hacking”–and these ludicrous attacks on Russia for interfering in other nation’s elections border on the absurd, given that the CIA has executed coups in more than 80 nations since its first in Iran in 1953. This utterly ridiculous political theater becomes more perilous when Russia and China, as Paul Craig Roberts explains, are now convinced that the US is planning a preemptive strike against Russia, especially because, under the UN Charter, one nation may attack another only if either it faces an imminent threat or it has Security Council approval. The administration has now warranted a first-strike by Russia that would be consistent with the UN Charter. We now confront threats to the existence of the world.
