Preparing the public mind for the Kennedy Assassination
Hat tip to El Buggo for finding this vid.
It certainly planted a few seeds in the minds of unsuspecting Amerikwans
with the help of CIA/Mockingbird media assets.
Pay special attention to LBJ's face beginning @3:53 - He knew what was about to happen.
Having lived through that time I don't find this particularly significant although an interesting coincidence. In 1960 I myself, being for Nixon, predicted Kennedy would be shot.
Americans were wary of the possibility of Presidential assassination and Kennedy was rather unpopular. My dad called him "that shanty-Irishman. He was seen as a rich playboy whose daddy bought him the election with Mob help. And he had screwed up big time by blowing the Bay of Pigs Invasion and creating the Cuban Missile Crisis.
Also we were quite aware of the phenomenon known as "The Presidential Twenties" that described the fact that the President elected every 20 years since 1840 had died in office and so now it was Kennedy's turn. Reagan finally ended the streak.
Having actually recieved an education, we had been steeped the lore of the Lincoln, Garfield, and McKinley assassinations and knew the stories well as did the reporter in the video. So, it's not so surprising he told that well-known story because many of us half-expected JFK to eventually be taken out.

Fair enough, but the cover up was still breathing.
*breath-taking
