I was talking to a woman yesterday painting doors in an office where I was doing work. I got a few sentences in and was making good progress as she thought cv19 was bs was tired of seeing it on the news. That should have clued my ass immediately to the impending hopelessness but I foolishly continued. At some point she realized my perspective had something to do with "politics", which turned out to be the magic word that closed her down. Heaven f'ing forbid anyone is the least bit uncomfortable with a subject as they will run back to fantasy tv-land reruns to squeegee off their neocortex.
