I have a manual Beam boring machine that was patented in the 1800's Its fantastic tool. The manual chainsaw posted above would be a wonderful tool to scare the shite out of kidnapped politicians in the woods. After donning a clown costume of course. :) Sometimes manual tools are much better than noisy power tools. I have really been enjoying using hand tools and slowing down the whole process and really getting intimate with each step in the process of woodworking. Hand planes are my personal weakness and I have a bit of an addiction. I also have an addiction to early to late 1950's Dewalt radial arm saws. The form and style of those round arm saws is very sexy as far as tools go and I own 1- early 50's Dewalt GWI, 2 - Dewalt 1030's and 1- 5hp 16" Dewalt GE from 1962. For me woodworking is a needed escape from the insanity we are currently living through. Having a hobby certainly helps in keeping your mind off the fact that most of humanity has lost their way and are suffering from a profound denial of the facts.
