Once, they remotely blew up the junction box for my telephone/internet connection, it was located in another street around the corner. The engineer who came out to fix it, about a month later, said he had never seen anything like it.
Once, they ripped the cover off the access hole on the telegraph pole for my telephone line and pulled out the bundle of wiring for the whole row of houses connected to it, and just left it exposed for some idiot to set fire to.
