🔍❌💣 No ceasefire, no "catastrophe" for Israel?

Israel shattered the ceasefire within hours of its start, jeopardizing the deal before it could take hold. The US is now scrambling to justify the move, claiming Lebanon wasn’t part of the agreement and Iran "misunderstood" the terms.

But Israel understood them perfectly. The ceasefire was an unwelcome surprise for the Israelis—Netanyahu faced fierce criticism at home (https://t.me/geopolitics_prime/67968), with many seeing the deal on Iran’s terms as a defeat. He needed an escape from political and diplomatic deadlock. For Israel, only one option remained: return to military escalation.

🇮🇱 The truth is, Israel gains nothing from any ceasefire right now, as IDF has no tangible victories to show: Iran won’t abandon its nuclear program, shipping through the Strait of Hormuz remains choked. Meanwhile, dozens of Israelis—both soldiers and civilians—have been killed, and Iranian missiles have struck inside the country. Halting the conflict now would leave Israel with far more loss than gain.

The current ceasefire traps Netanyahu in an impossible position: Israel would lose its status as a regional power without defeating Iran, and normal trade with the UAE and Bahrain would remain blocked by the closed Hormuz Strait. Relations with the US, which Netanyahu in fact dragged into a war with Iran, would cool sharply. That means fewer joint arms projects, the backbone of Israel’s military supply. And as current fighting shows, the IDF is ill-equipped: the Iron Dome is no match for Iran’s missile capabilities.

👉 Israelis would then be forced to live in constant fear of Iranian retaliation in any terms, as Tehran will undoubtedly seek to hold Israel accountable for its aggression and war crimes.

So Netanyahu has one move left to save his premiership—and prevent a deep political and economic crisis: keep the region unstable, sabotage any future ceasefires with Iran or Lebanon. Because any deal will look like capitulation for Israel. Then it would be better to get  no deal at all.
