Yup! It's "news" for Trolls in the UK - sucks to be a Troll in the USA though - legislation coming to ban trolls there very soon!
However, back in the Uk,Cases involving trolling on social media sites should now be easier to deal with after the Director of Public Prosecutions published definitive guidelines on the tabloid-fodder phenomenon this morning. (theregister.co.uk with the report).

China Interbank Market Freezes As Overnight Repo Explodes To 25%

It seems liquidity (or counterparty mistrust) is beginning to reach extreme levels in China as the nation's banking system is now quoting overnight repo transactions at 25%. The explosion in funding costs echoes the collapse in trust (and surge in TED spread) among US banks in the run-up to the Lehman bankruptcy. MSCI Asia-Pac stocks are down over 3% with China's Shanghai Composite -2.5% at seven-month lows.

John McAfee releases NSFW video on how to uninstall security code

International fugitive, criminal suspect and self-described eccentric millionaire John McAfee has released a tongue-in-cheek video explaining how to uninstall the security software that still bears his name.



McAfee claims that one of the most frequent questions he's asked is how to get rid of the pernicious software, despite his having nothing to do with the company for the last 15 years. He says he has remembered how to do it and his solution – predictably, given his interests – involves drugs, seven strippers, and a handgun. Article at theregister.co.uk.

Journalist Michael Hastings died in a mysterious car crash on 19 June 2013.

Hastings was a critic of the Pentagon generals.
In 2010, Michael Hastings described General Stanley McChrystal's staff as
"a handpicked collection of killers, spies, ... political operators and outright maniacs." Michael Hastings contacted a Wikileaks lawyer hours before his death, claiming the FBI were investigating him. Then came the inexplicable crash-the immediate aftermath captured on video.


Michael Hastings' widow, Elise Jordan, has released her email today replying to the editor of the NewYork Times re: it's online obit about him which, she feels, tried to diminish his famous "Runaway General" article. She also refers to what she heard on tapes she transcribed for him for his article.

The implication is that the only people who complain about having their privacy violated are criminals who deserve to have their privacy violated. It is a simple phrase, learned by rote, that is meant to bring the conversation to a close.
We all know that this is argument is fundamentally flawed, but sometimes it is difficult to argue the point with someone who insists that they are fine with seemingly any level of government intrusion in their personal lives...

Too Much Prozac Turns Minnows Into Killers

Fish swimming in water with a trace of the anti-depressant Prozac did not adopt a cheery disposition. Instead, they became edgy, aggressive and some even killed their mates.

The fish were subjected to traces of the drug by a research group at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee that examined how environmental exposure to the medication altered the behavior of fathead minnows, a common fish found throughout the Midwest.
