Wife could be jailed for not doing enough housework

A woman from Italy could be jailed for up to six years because she does not do enough housework, according to Italian media. The 40-year-old, from Sonnino in the Lazio region, is being taken to court by her husband.
He claims that her management of household chores is of a low standard and it has led to the “mistreatment of the family”, according to a translation of Ill Fatto Quotidiano by The Local.

New Zealand news reporter Hilary Barry could not stop laughing during the "Paul Henry Show" about a story that included the phrase "emergency defecation situation" on Feb. 3. The pre-recorded news story was about a man who followed a 21-year-old woman home, and told her that he needed to use her bathroom for an "emergency defecation situation," notes News.com.au. “An emergency defecation situation?" Barry laughed. "I think I’m having one myself.”

 Counties in Louisiana and Texas, as well as the cities of Baltimore, Maryland; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Washington D.C. and Boston, Massachusetts all reported that substantial numbers of children have been exposed to elevated lead levels, largely through municipal drinking water. 

 This week, the head environmental regulator in the state of Ohio called national water regulations “broken,” saying that they dramatically understate the true scale of lead poisoning in American cities. As Virginia Tech researcher Marc Edwards put it, “Because of the smoke-and-mirrors testing, Flint is meeting the standard even as national guardsmen walk the street.”...

UK scientists get approval to genetically modify human embryos

UK scientists have been granted permission by the fertility regulator to genetically modify human embryos under strict conditions. Researchers at the Francis Crick Institute in London hope that their gene-editing experiments will provide a deeper understanding of the earliest moments of human life and could provide insight into the problems that can cause miscarriage. The research, which will be led by Dr Kathy Niakan, will examine the first seven days after fertilisation, during which a single cell multiplies to around 250 cells.

Myself, Michael Hudson, John Perkins, and a few others have reported the multi-pronged looting of peoples by Western economic institutions, principally the big New York Banks with the aid of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Third World countries were and are looted by being inticed into development plans for electrification or some such purpose. The gullible and trusting governments are told that they can make their countries rich by taking out foreign loans to implement a Western-presented development plan, with the result being sufficient tax revenues from economic development to service the foreign loan. Seldom, if ever, does this happen. What happens is that the plan results in the country becoming indebted to the limit and beyond of its foreign currency earnings.
