Whenever a crisis occurs – especially one with tragic overtones such as that with Sandy Hook Elementary in 2012 with the shooting of 20 children – all manner of people come forward to offer opinion, speculation, and conjecture on agendas and theories that only have a tenuous connection to the truth. In the case of Sandy Hook, stories about gun control, school safety, home schooling, and metal health abounded. Little focus, however, was paid to the extent to which the shooter, Adam Lanza, was on massive amounts of prescription drugs. Today we are joined by radio host Deanna Spingola, who spent three years researching her book ‘Screening Sandy Hook’, to uncover to what extent the pharmaceutical industry has come to dominate American society, the government, and in many ways large segments of the media.

NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — A newly elected congresswoman in Virginia’s
Hampton Roads region will sit on the U.S. House Armed Services
Committee.
The office for Democrat Elaine Luria announced the appointment Tuesday.
The former U.S. Navy commander represents Virginia’s 2nd Congressional District along the state’s coast. It is home to world’s largest Navy base in Norfolk and various other military installations in Virginia Beach and other cities.
The committee oversees defense policy and military personnel, among other issues.
Luria graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy and spent 20 years in the Navy.
Last fall, Luria defeated Republican Congressman Scott Taylor, a former Navy SEAL. He held the seat for one term.
Luria was among the wave of Democrats who flipped congressional seats across the U.S. and regained control of the House of Representatives.

direction.” His predecessor Ariel Sharon was even more to the point when

this were only chest thumping rhetoric one might just shrug and go about
one’s business, but actions speak louder than words, even in the world
of corrupt politicians, where nothing is ever as it seems to be. In the
past year alone, the U.S. government has moved its Embassy in Israel to
Jerusalem, has stopped criticizing the Netanyahu government’s expansion
of illegal settlements, and is reportedly currently contemplating
recognizing as legal Israel’s illegal occupation of the Syrian Golan
Heights. All the moves were and are contrary to actual American
interests.
