I caught a listen to The Political Cesspool and they had Brother Nathaniel on, he said that Rense has banned him and called him a fraud. Interesting list of people that Rense no longer has on his show. Devy Kidd, Gordon Duff, Joel Skoussen and a party of other favorites! Rense is full of shit mostly.

Five days with no phone or internet for a problem that could have been fixed the first time that I called the ISP last Sunday. A bunch of incompetent morons.

Moreover, they charged me more than they should have for this month's automatic payment and without a phone, I didn't get a call from the bank notifying me of the insufficient funds. It was pure luck that I found that out when I logged into my bank account via my neighbor's computer. I then borrowed cash money and sprinted to the bank to cover the overcharge before the exorbitant fees kicked in.

Other than that, what a boring week this was. lol

Zap - "Five days with no phone or internet for a problem that could have been fixed the first time that I called the ISP last Sunday. A bunch of incompetent morons." Since you're on DSL, sometimes it's easier (and less time consuming) to get stuff fixed by just driving around until you see a phone company repair truck and asking the guy to come look at your stuff. Landline telephone company techs are a different breed: a lot of them are leftovers from the regulated phone days, are direct employees who also aren't complete idiots, and genuinely like helping customers. It's usually the cable companies that outsource all their field labor (installation, drop connects and disconnects) to third party contractors who hire lousy labor that results in mass incompetence. In those cases the installers can be just as bad as the CSRs. But the old landline ILEC phone companies' techs often get things fixed way faster than calls to Indian-outsourced CSRs will.

(A decade ago, my grandmother had her internet upgraded from DSL to cable. When I went over to see it, I saw that the installer who had been there just lazily put a Y-splitter on the coax coming up through the floor behind her television, stapled a long run of new coax up the exterior of her freaking walls, looping over a doorway, and then back down to her computer. It looked like something you'd see in a cabin shack in black hills.

Funny stuff.

BTW, the guy who fixed my problem sounded like an Algerian. lol

Most of the older telco techs are white union guys. If you can still find one, anyway, they come highly recommended.

Also, what does an Algerian even sound like?
