Around the 1:04:00 minute Charlie is claiming there is a book on Amazon called "The Church was right - The Earth was flat". There is no such book. There is the book by Robert Sungenis called "Galileo Was Wrong: The Church Was Right":https://www.amazon.com/Galileo-Was-Wrong-Church-Right/dp/0977964000/ref=sr_1_2I don't subscribe to Sungenis' ideas on this matter; but it of course has nothing to do with "Flat Earth". Sungenis argues that the Earth is stationary. He gives some surprising evidence towards this claim as well. I've heard him speak a few times about this. As I said, I don't agree with him on the stationary Earth though. The Catholic Church never officially taught a flat Earth and in fact officially taught a spherical Earth. The globe regalia the Popes had throughout Catholic history (e.g. globus cruciger) always symbolized the Earth of course (although these globe regalia were usually carry-overs from Roman authority symbols). Why Charlie starts off with this ignorant nonsense reflects poorly on him. There were of course persons and groups within the Church who thought the Earth was flat; but officially, the Church considered the Earth non-flat.Very very bad start to Charlie's handling of this subject. I doubt I'll keep interest to hear out the rest.
I was wrong ... I got a few chuckles out of that! Gotta love the caller that thinks the sun is 3000 miles above the Earth! HAHAHAHAHAHAI wasn't aware Flat-Earthers were to this extreme!
